League Day at the Capital
On April 30, 2013, several Junior League of Lafayette members attended League Day at the Capital, hosted by the Junior League of Baton Rouge. The Junior League of Lafayette was recognized by the Louisiana State House and Senate, and members had a chance to speak with a few legislators. They presented highlights from our NO FEAR NO FUTURE Project and our 55th Anniversary Playground Project.
NO FEAR NO FUTURE
This year is the 10th anniversary of the Junior League of Lafayette’s NO FEAR NO FUTURE project. NO FEAR NO FUTURE is a two-day, school-based project that promotes responsible decision making to high school students by demonstrating the realization of the dangers associated with distracted or impaired driving. This year’s host school for the 2013 two-day program is Ascension Episcopal High School. The program will take place on April 18 and April 19, 2013.
