Junior League Of Lafayette Releases 28th Edition Of Award Winning Cookbook

40th Anniversary of "Talk About Good!" marked with release of 28th edition

LAFAYETTE, LA-September 2007 - The Junior League of Lafayette proudly announces that the reprint of its award winning cookbook, Talk About Good! will be available in retail stores the week of September 17, 2007. Talk About Good was introduced in June of 1967 and is known as the original cookbook from Cajun country, filled with a classic collection of time- honored recipes filled with renowned family mealtime favorites and a variety to satisfy everyone's palate. It's a seafood lover's cookbook and is the recipient of the Tabasco® Community Cookbook Hall of Fame Award. Over 750,000 copies have been produced and 2007 marks the 40th Anniversary of this historical treasure's debut.

Talk About Good! is the first in a series of 4 cookbooks the Junior League of Lafayette has produced. Other titles include, Talk About Good II, Tell Me More, and Something to Talk About. Through its extensive fundraising efforts, which include their four cookbooks, the Junior League of Lafayette has raised more than $2 million to fund and support its Mission.

Celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year, the Junior League of Lafayette is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

The Junior League of Lafayette held a "Taste Treat" event on Saturday, September 8th at Barnes & Noble, 5705 Johnston Street, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Shoppers were able to sample homemade delights such as Chocolate Graham Crackers, Spiced Sugared Pecans, and Spinach Cheese Squares while they perused those and other recipes in each of the Junior League of Lafayette's cookbooks.

September 15, 2007 from noon - 3 pm at Caroline & Co., 113 Arnould Blvd.
November 30, 2007 from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm at Begnaud's Pharmacy, 1164 Coolidge Blvd.
